doctorinvertsugar asked: I love the concept of femme flagging with nail color, and I support the idea of curating a new glossary of meanings, but if everyone makes up their own meanings, then flagging becomes obsolete because illegible. Are there plans to make it more legible through standardisation or something?

I’m perhaps only femme sometimes, but I love the idea of femme flagging. Burgundy for (interest in) fisting and because it’s a pretty fierce color. “Fucking fingers” (penetration fingers) left plain burgundy (they can’t be fancy- they have to do work!). Silver tips for poly, black stripes for a little kink, and thumb is clear (with burgundy stripe) for queer.

champagnebutter-deactivated2013 asked: I ID as pansexual, bisexual and as a dyke/lesbian but not queer, and I present hyperfeminine (not sure if femme is anything to do with that?) but I'm not sure if 'femme' is right for me (seems more for white and queer people) and so I don't want to appropriate femme flagging from white queers if brown dyke aren't welcome x

teapartyghosts asked: You say there should be colors for allies... However, I think there should be colors for everyone. Perhaps one of the fingers you paint means hetero and the other means not? Middle means hetero, ring means not? Then do the left/rights as sub/dom? Being bisexual and in a straight relationship, I am feeling highly left out of this.

stopanthropomorphizingme asked: re: vikkiisagenderneutralname and fuck fingers being CAFAB. It's been pointed out that you don't have to be CAFAB to fuck someone with your fingers, but I'd like to point out that you don't have to be fucking someone CAFAB to fuck them with your fingers. It is, however, penetration centric.

Queers re-fashion ‘flagging’ codes by Jo Latham (The Scavenger, undated) “The point of flagging is to invite questions, to initiate conversations about the specifics of sex and of desire and to acknowledge the complexities involved in sexual interaction. Flagging does not tell you everything (indeed even a good double or triple flag can only tell you so much), and clubs are...

coeurensabot: an experiment in femme flagging, specifically flagging for nonmonogamy in an ltr.  I’ve used a black glitter nail polish, with a silver glitter polish on the left ring finger. I looooove the idea of being able to flag for nonmonogamy. It would certainly make my life easier. I also really love the idea of having a visible symbol of my relationship that is less obvious/expensive/in...

quelola: “Being feminine is being desired and hated at the same time. A feminine body or mind is expected to be open and receiving to everything from others’ emotional baggage to sexual fantasies of total strangers. At the same time, receptivity (not that this defines femininity by any means) is considered weak and inferior. The result of this is often violence. Femininity is to be present for...

umajanelaaberta asked: Seeing how everyone is painting their fuck fingers, I gotta ask if anyone is like me and uses their middle and ring fingers as their primary fuck fingers? I'm feeling like an alien at the moment.
